I am so glad you are here! Welcome to my blog!
My name is Kayla Koslow and I am a photographer located in Harrisonburg, Virginia! I have a passion for getting to know my clients, making them feel at ease in front of my lens and capturing pure, beautiful moments with your loved ones. Please feel free to email me at any time for questions at kaylakoslow@ ! I look forward to getting to know you!
A quick bio: I actually grew up here in Harrisonburg, Virginia with my two wonderful parents and brother, Jeremy. Being the townie I love to be, I graduated from James Madison University in 2011 with a B.S. in Studio Art, Education and a minor in Exceptional Education. I was an orientation leader at JMU and the philanthropy coordinator for the honors fraternity Kappa Pi… Go Dukes! When I graduated I immediately dove into my first year of teaching and my first year as a photographer! I am a High School Art teacher in Luray, VA!
Things you should know about me: I love the arts, if you haven’t already figured that one out! I just absolutely love making art with kids and making it for myself and others. There is just something about teaching children about art, that is just simply magical and beautiful. I am a huge sports fan and still play volleyball in a rec league. I still love watching games with my dad and going to local sports events. I travel to Austin, Texas as much as I possibly can to visit my brother, Jeremy and sister in law, Ashley! Eventually they gave me the best gift of all… being an auntie to my two nephews, Greyson and Sawyer!
My biz: I am a person that strives to make people feel comfortable while being photographed. I teach children and adults daily…I know things can go wrong in the matter of seconds and I am here to help you through the process of photography with little ones, your families and your big day! I promise to guide you through the photography process while capturing who you are and having a little fun! I can’t tell you how many times I hear complaints or get mean mugs from the guys at the beginning of a session and by the end of it are telling me how to do my job or are setting up poses themselves! Lol!
Thank you again, for stopping by and seeing a little of my life! I hope you enjoy browsing th
e blog and getting to know me and my clients. I look forward to meeting you and giving you the beautiful gift of photography.
